Today on the way to school, my 5 (almost 6) year old daughter had an interesting question for me: She wondered when she will be taking driving lessons...

We had a good storm today that came off the northern lake. I don't mind the snow when we are all home, safe and snug inside.

We have been cleaning house lately trying to get rid of clutter and baby stuff we don't need. The last couple weeks Ebay has been running a promotion that you can post for free. So last weekend I threw several things up. Every item has a watcher at least :) Hoping they all sell too!

My husband surprised us with some beautiful flowers tonight when we got home. I thought it was a beautiful shade of purple.

One thing we have noticed with our daughter now in Kindergarten, there seem to be more birthday parties. This will also be the first party at a home that she has been invited to - all the others have been at Chucky Cheese or Bounce House type places. I'm curious to see how that works out. Now we are thinking about what we might do for her birthday next month.

One of our son's daily activity sheets from his school. On it they list activites, nap times, how much/what he ate, how many wet diapers or times he went on the potty, etc.

Today was the first time we sent in an actual sandwich for him to eat with his classmates using the bread we made. It was a success and he ate the bologna sandwich and the spare bologna that we sent in as well. He was a very hungry boy today. Also note he didn't eat his carrots... Now if it was broccoli he would have asked for seconds, I'm sure.

Our new curtains and sheers that my husband and I bought while we were off on vacation. Putting it all together and getting it to hang just so was interesting but we think it looks better than what we had. I'm just waiting for one of the kids to pull or disrupt it. LOL

The other three walls in the room are a mocha color and we thought this would compliment them. Unfortunately the ugly looking (but comfortable) dog couch is in front of the window at the moment but eventually we will toss it and move the other couch in the room to that spot.

A bluebird hanging out in our tree (look towards the center of the picture). We don't see many in this area but it is nice to see them when they do decide to show themselves.

Our first loaf of Wheat Bread made with our new bread maker we received for Christmas. We made it primarily for our son who has several allergies. The good news is with his milk and yogurt it turned out quite delicious and he loved it too. Pot holder to show size. :D
